When two chefs, Penny and Ajoy, from two distinct cuisines are handed one shared basket of ingredients (with a few exceptions, of course!), the only possible outcome is fun.

Penelope Jane Williams is the classically-trained Executive Chef & Director of BALI ASLI, which combines serendipity and vision in a unique recipe created by her. She began her career in London, and then fine dining restaurants in Sydney, before making Bali her home in 2007. Bali Asli, opens a window into the real Bali through cooking classes, culinary adventures and cultural immersions.

This intimate, hands-on Cooking Class is a celebration of creativity, contrast, great company – and plenty of stories along the way.

Working with the same ingredients, each chef interprets them through their own culinary lens, one Balinese, the other Indian, revealing how flavours, techniques, and traditions can take beautifully different paths and still arrive at something truly delicious.
