A FUNDRAISER TO SUPPORT OUR YOUNG AUSSIES &
AN UPDATE TO THE FUNDRAISER ON 30th MAY ’26
Nilgiri’s has donated 100% of the funds raised on Saturday, 30th May ’26 to support Aaveer & Olivia. However, it is only a drop in the ocean & there is more to do. We are continuing to sell more of the “Young Aussie Fundraiser Meal” to hopefully raise more money. So please scroll down to read more & help us support our young Aussies!!
Nilgiri’s is proud to support & play a small part in this Fundraiser to support Aaveer & Olivia as they sail the seven seas to represent Australia at the 420 Youth & World Sailing Championships. Needless to say, it is a moment of tremendous pride to have been selected, though equally expensive. So our young sailors have set up a page through the Australian Sports Foundation to help pay for their expenses.
Ajoy & I have seen & fed young Aaveer for last 10 years & seen him grow from a shy child to a strapping young lad. Over the last few months, we have met his sailing partner Olivia as well. They are wonderful youngsters – humble, hardworking & great ambassadors for their sport!! It was only natural that when we stepped in to help them achieve their goal. We felt we could kill two birds with one stone – feeding all of you their favourite meal – aka the Nilgiri’s Butter Chicken – whilst raising money to contribute to their fundraiser. So please do help us help them…
We have a set up a “Young Aussie Fundraiser Meal” in our Takeaway Specials page. All you have to do is order for pick-up any day between 5.30 pm & 8.30 pm. We do have a Vegetarian Option available with our famous home-made paneer for vegetarians. Click here to find out more & here to place your order.
